Zahn McClaren will reprise his role as Jim Chee for the second season of Joe Liforn and Keiowa Gordon on AMC’s popular black winds dramatic series. AMC Networks confirmed the renewal and announced that season two is expected to consist of six episodes, premiering next year.

The series is based on Tony Hillerman’s Liforn and Chi book series, following the events of season one. listening lady with a little dark people, Graham Rowland (Jack Ryan of Tom Clancy) created the series and served as executive producer with series stars Zahn McClaren, Robert Redford, George R.R. Martin, Anne Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vince Calandra, Vince Gerardis and Tina Elmo.

AMC Networks is dedicated to bringing Hillerman’s novels to the screen authentically and has collaborated with Navajo Nation on the series. Per AMC: “With special permission, 70% black winds Filming was done on Aboriginal land in Tesque Pueblo, New Mexico, using the Camel Rock Studios facility. A further 30% of the series was filmed on tribal land in the Cochi Pueblo, also in New Mexico.
Season One Plot:
Established in 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, black winds Follows Tribal Police Lieutenant Joe LeForne as he is beset by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. The closer he digs to the truth, the more he uncovers the wounds of his past. He is joined on the journey by his new deputy, Jim Chee. Chi also has old scores for compromising his youth on the reservation. Together, the two men fight on a path to liberation from the forces of evil, each other and their own personal demons.
