IIT Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India’s Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) is a public research university. The university was founded in 2016 when a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of Higher Education of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

It is located in the hamlet of Jagti, Nagrota Tehsil, Jammu district, an IIT campus has being built. The temporary campus of IIT Jammu, which is located on the LCD campus, provides all of the necessary amenities for a stress-free academic environment.
Hostels, house classrooms, a seminar room, a library, a computer laboratory, faculty offices, a canteen, and recreational and creative amenities comprise 40,000 square feet of built-up space. Volleyball, basketball, badminton, and cricket nets are available on campus.
