Batman: The Killing Joke was released in 1988 as the most notable piece among the one-shot graphic novels. The epic had a tremendous impact on the movies and comic books that made it a success, and this is actually the third time that Kotobukiya is releasing a statue from it.
One day, after losing all emotional support, a member of the Red Hood gang is hunted by Batman. With no place to escape, the man jumps into a river in a frantic attempt to escape. However, the chemicals in the water from the Ace Chemical Processing Plant cause her skin to turn white, her hair bright green, and her lips red. Seeing his reflection in the water, the man stumbles to his feet and laughs endlessly, thus turning into a madman.
Kotobukiya worked hard to bring this entire unforgettable sequence to life. Among his many horrific tragedies, The Joker has been turned into an idol from his “one bad day”.
The color was based on the 20th anniversary monochrome edition of the graphic novel, which featured the artist himself repainting. This statue includes a special base and can be displayed directly on the outside of the package.
