Manik and Lakshyadeep enter semi-finals


On Friday, the District Badminton Association started a three-day badminton competition at the Indoor Stadium in Maari. Players from different regions of the district are participating in the competition.

A total of 24 matches of league matches and quarter finals were played on the first day. In these, Manik and Lakshyadeep won and entered the semi-finals of the competition.

The matches played during the competition saw great competition among the players. In the Under-19 match played on the first day, Keshav of Ramgali defeated Pankaj of Gadal by a margin of 23-21, 16-21, 21-12 to enter the quarter-finals.

At the same time, Raghav defeated Tanish 22-20, 21-10 to reach the quarter-finals. On the other hand, Manik of Maadi defeated Harsh of Nai Basti in sets of 21-17, 14-21, 23-21 and Lakshyadeep defeated Sarvgya in sets of 21-11, 21-17 in two quarterfinal matches. I entered.

On Friday, the competition was started by Deputy Commissioner Babila Rakwal. During this he talked to the players and got to know their interest in the game.

Later the Deputy Commissioner got the toss done and started the first match. Earlier, DC himself took some badminton racket and took some shots.

On the occasion the district head of the association Surinder Sharma, Vikas Sharma, Rajesh Kesar, Ashish Sharma, Abhinav Sharma and Ankush Sharma were present. Doubles matches of all categories will be played on Saturday.
