Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday condemned the killing of a female school teacher by terrorists in Kulgam.
“Terrorist attack on a school teacher, Rajni Bala is the most condemnable act. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Terrorists and their sympathizers will be given an unforgettable response to the dastardly attack,” said Manoj Sinha, the office of Jammu and Kashmir LG, in a Twitter post.
National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also condemned the targeted killings in the UT.
“Sad. Will sit. May the deceased rest in peace,” Abdullah said in a tweet.
A female teacher was killed in the firing by terrorists in Kulgam on Tuesday.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the incident took place in Kulgam’s High School Gopalpora area. The teacher was taken to the hospital where he died. The victim was a resident of Samba in Jammu division. Police have cordoned off the area.
“The injured female teacher, a Hindu and a resident of Samba (Jammu division) succumbed to her injuries. The terrorists involved in this gruesome terror crime will soon be identified and neutralized,” the Kashmir Zone Police said.
