Snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir: According to officials, the majority of the high altitude region suffered light to moderate overnight snowfall, therefore the Mughal Road, a detour connecting Kashmir with the rest of the nation, was blocked to vehicular traffic on Sunday, November 6.

However, they claimed that despite heavy rains that hit large portions of Jammu and Kashmir, traffic on the crucial Srinagar-Jammu National Highway is proceeding regularly.

According to officials, the Mughal route between Poshana and Peer Ki Gali, which connects the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu province with the Shopian district in south Kashmir, has more than five inches of snow on it.

Under the impact of a western disturbance, the weatherman has predicted unfavourable weather in Jammu and Kashmir, including sporadic rain and snowfall until November 10 (Thursday).
