Sony Pictures has released a poster and trailer invitationDirector Jessica M. Thompson’s upcoming horror, starring Nathalie Emmanuel as a young woman who finds herself invited to a lavish wedding in the English countryside by a long-lost cousin, only to be caught in a nightmare when he learns of his bloodthirsty hosts with ulterior motives.
After the death of her mother and no other known relatives, Evie (Nathalie Emmanuel) takes a DNA test… and discovers a long-lost cousin she never knew. Invited by his new family to a lavish wedding in the English countryside, he is seduced at first by the sexy aristocratic host, but is soon mired in a survival nightmare as he delves into his family’s history with twisted secrets and exposes the shaky intentions behind his sinful generosity.
The cast includes Nathalie Emmanuel along with Thomas Doherty, Stephanie Corneliussen, Alana Bowden, Courtney Taylor, Hugh Skinner and Sean Pertwee.
The Invitation hits theaters on August 26.
