Being Ricardo Stars Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem have joined the voice cast of the musical from Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation, mesmerized, After playing Hollywood royalty Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball, Bardem and Kidman will lend their voices to the royal rulers of a country called Lumbria.
John Lithgow (old man), Jennifer Lewis (black-ish), Nathan Lane (The Lion King), Jordan Fisher (To all the boys: P.S. I still love you), and Andre de Shields (Tick, tick… BOOM!) has also just signed on, joined by Rachel Ziegler (story of the west) which was previously announced to act.
shrekVicky Jensen is directed from a screenplay by Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin and Linda Woolverton. Oscar winner Alan Menken is writing the original song and composing the score, with Glenn Slater writing the lyrics. Chris Montan is the executive producer. Nicole Kidman will play ‘Elsmere’, the kind and just, yet ultra-precise Queen of Lumbria; And Javier Bardem will voice Solon, the arrogant but big-hearted king of Lumbria. Together, they are the parents of ‘Princess Alien’ (voice of Rachel Ziegler), who after a mysterious spell threatens to turn them into demons and forever cover Lumbria in darkness, their family and kingdom. Join her in her daring quest to save her.
John Lithgow will provide voice for “Minister Bolliner”, and Jennifer Lewis will provide voice for “Minister Nazra Prone”, both royal advisors to Princess Alien. Illian seeks The Oracle of the Sun and Moon, voiced by Nathan Lane and Andre de Shields, to break the spell on his parents and the kingdom. Throughout his journey, Alien meets several characters who help him, including ‘Callon’, a young nomad voiced by Jordan Fisher.
