FX’s old man It has been renewed for season two after receiving the highest ratings of any cable series premiere since January 2021. The critically acclaimed play is based on the bestselling novel by Thomas Perry and stars Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow.
Alia Shawkat, Amy Brenneman, EJ Bonilla, and Gabenga Ekinagabe also star.
Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine created the series and executive produced with Warren Littlefield, Dan Schottz, Jeff Bridges, David Schiff and Jon Watts. The series is produced by 20th Television in association with The Littlefield Company.

The seven-episode first season premiered on June 30, 2022. New episodes air Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX and are available to stream on Hulu the following day.

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry, old man Center on “Dan Chase” (Bridge), who fled the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid ever since.
