Jammu, Nov. 20: At the gala event of the Regional Passport Officer’s conference held in New Delhi from November 17 to 19, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) presented the Best Performance Award to RPO Jammu under the special category for achieving high standard Passport service delivery to the citizens during the year 2021–2022.
Informing this, ecstatic Sh Nishith Kumar Shil RPO Jammu stated that receiving the Passport Award is an enormous accomplishment, a morale booster, and the cherry on top.
It honours the Jammu Passport Officials’ commitment, distinguished service, and exceptional pro-citizen work. A government office in the public sector consistently strives for recognition like this. He credited his team and the officers at PO Jammu with everything. He congratulated all parties involved.
Shil expressed his satisfaction and emphasised that this distinction will significantly inspire his team and office to continue pursuing excellence in a proactive and pro-citizen manner.
“At our core, we are always a common citizen. We are entirely committed to working hard and providing them with services in a convenient, friendly, open, efficient, and effective manner, he said.
The RPO Jammu stated that moving the location of our Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) to a more suitable place with a bigger space is necessary in order to further improve corollary amenities, facilities, delivery mechanisms, procedural needs, enrich the experience of passport making, and deliver our services to the public in a more comfortable environment. Shil urged his staff and TCS partner to do this.
