Three killed, 16 injured in Samba road accident

In the Samba area of Jammu and Kashmir, two buses collided on Wednesday, resulting in at least three fatalities and 16 injuries.

According to the police, a bus collided with another this evening near Nanke Chak, killing three people.

Police noted that one of the buses was transporting tourists.

They claimed that the third victim was from the Samba district and that two of the deceased were from Punjab.

The injured were taken urgently to a local hospital, where staff then sent them on to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.

The two vehicles sustained significant damage, they claimed.

According to Gupta, the district administration has announced compensation amounts of Rs 1 lakh apiece for the surviving family members of the deceased, Rs 50,000 for seriously injured people, and Rs 10,000 for those who had suffered minor injuries.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his sorrow and stated he was deeply saddened by the deaths caused by the traffic incidents in Doda and Samba.
