Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, stated on Sunday that the six-laning of the Bengaluru Nidaghatta Section of NH-275 is likely to shorten travel time from 3 hours to 90 minutes and minimise traffic congestion.

The Bengaluru Nidaghatta segment of the under-construction Bengaluru-Mysore expressway is progressing well, according to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, and would assist reduce traffic congestion at various stretches.

The Bengaluru-Mysore expressway is a 10-lane highway with six lanes of NH-275 and two-lane service roads on both sides. It is divided into brownfield and greenfield portions.

Nitin Gadkari stated that the six bypasses on the line will benefit vehicles near Bidadi, Ramanagaram, Channarayapatna, Maddur, Mandya, and Srirangapatna, totaling 51 kilometres.

“The New India of the Twenty-First Century is committed to constructing the world’s best infrastructure facilities.” Keeping this in mind, the project for six-laning the Bengaluru Nidaghatta Section on NH-275 is moving forward with many promises,” Gadkari stated in a series of tweets.

The expressway is expected to be finished by the end of the year.

The expressway project is being built in two stages. The first package extends for approximately 56 kilometres from Bengaluru to Nidaghatta in Maddur taluk, and the second package, which is 61 kilometres long, connects Nidaghatta to Mysuru.
